James McLaughlin, M.D.
Dr. McLaughlin has been with Primary Care Internists of Montgomery, P.C. since 1989. He graduated from medical school in 1983 with his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residency and internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. Dr. McLaughlin is Board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He has been married since 1986 to his wonderful wife and mother of his five children and two grandsons. He enjoys camping, low-stakes poker, and amateur astronomy.


Raghu Mukkamala, M.D., FACP
He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.Dr. Mukkamala has been with Primary Care Internists of Montgomery, P.C. since 1996. He graduated from medical school in 1987 with his M.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. Dr. Mukkamala then did his Fellowship in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine at Delhi University in Delhi, India. He then trained in England for 6 years and obtained his M.R.C.P. Finally, he completed his residency and internship at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Mukkamala is Board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Mukkamala enjoys gardening, photography and playing tennis in his free time.
Rakesh Patel, M.D.
Dr. Patel has been with Primary Care Internists of Montgomery, P.C. since 2003. He graduated from medical school in 1999 with his M.D. from M.P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. He completed his residency and internship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Jamaica, NY. Dr. Patel is Board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He and his wife are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters.


Ana Tejero, D.O., FACOI
Dr. Tejero joined Primary Care Internists of Montgomery, P.C. in September 2018. She came here from the great state of Arizona to be back in the Southeast where she feels at home. She graduated from medical school in 2006 with her D.O. from Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Kentucky. She completed her residency in West Virginia University school of medicine and internship at North Community Hospital in Norton, VA. Dr. Tejero is Board-certified with The American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. She and her husband have one son and they have family in the region as well. Finally, Dr. Tejero is bilingual, she speaks fluent Spanish.
